Anticipated Graduation Date

Your anticipated graduation date is very important.

Colorado State University is required by federal law to collect information on all degree-seeking students which specifies when a student expects to graduate.

Students’ anticipated graduation date, along with enrollment data, are sent to the National Student Clearinghouse for loan and insurance enrollment verification purposes – as well as other processes. It is best that students keep their anticipated graduation date current and up-to-date. A graduation date earlier than an actual graduation date may put the student in a situation where they are expected to start repaying loans.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students needing to change their anticipated graduation date, after completing Registration Ready and prior to completing the next semester’s Registration Ready, will need to contact The Hub.

Graduate Students

While graduate students must file their anticipated graduation date through Registration Ready for federal reporting, graduate students must submit the GS25 Application for Graduation or Reapplication for Graduation Form to the Graduate School by the academic deadline date published to apply to graduate.

Remember, graduate degree candidates must either be enrolled for at least one credit or registered for continuous registration (CR) during the term that you are graduating. The Graduate School provides more information for this process.
