Types of Grant Funding, and Grant Eligibility

Grant Eligibility

Grants are a form of financial aid that do not need to be repaid, making them one of the most desirable types of aid for students. They are typically awarded based on financial need as determined by the FAFSA.

The types and amounts of grant funding that students are awarded is based on:

  1. Financial need,
  2. Cost of attendance, and
  3. Enrollment status.

To be eligible for grants you must:

  1. Enrolled in an eligible degree,
  2. Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress, and
  3. Meet credit requirements to receive aid (credit requirements may vary).
